Stephen Pankhurst

Stephen’s memories of Matamata College were mainly of the “Class of 76” – the smart group as Stephen recalls. 

Stephen excelled in the classroom and went on to Waikato University and graduated with the Bachelor of Business Management and furthered his qualifications gaining a Master of Business Administration from Massey University.

Stephen’s work history is exciting and varied.  He has been employed by DFC, Citibank, The Treasury, Westpac, Price Waterhouse Coopers, is a CEO for a private company and is an adviser to IWI Groups.

At school Stephen’s interests were in athletics.  Most years he was the 100 m and 200 m sprint winner on athletic days and represented the school at Thames Valley and Waikato level.
