Sharon spent three years at College and gained School Certificate.  She came through the Commercial course and was in my first class when I was a PA.   Sharon was a bright, active young lady and excelled in athletics and netball being a member of 3rds A, 4ths A and College C in her final year.

For the past 16 years Sharon has worked hands-on in the Health and Disability Sector, gaining Level 3 in Core Competencies in Health and Disability.   At the moment she has a special needs girl from Nelson living with her who attends Avalon Centre five days a week.  Presently she is preparing her home for her aged parents to live comfortably with her.  As part of her job she helps people advocate for themselves and for their aged parents.

Sharon is the mother of three adult sons and one daughter.  She has two grandchildren.   She has done some interesting travel.  While in the UK recently she travelled out to the Channel Island to Jersey and then stopped off in Glouster to visit her nephew, as well as seeing much of the UK.  She enjoys the occasional cruise!

Sharon is a breast cancer survivor, having this year celebrated her 10th year in remission.
