Pam Cittadini (Ashe)
Pam attended Matamata College when the Intermediate was still on site. She finished school after Form 5 gaining a number of individual passes in School Cert. While at school Pam enjoyed a range of sports. She played netball for College C (good team in those days!), gained lifesaving qualifications and played some cricket.
Post school Pam continued played netball and also took up softball. She married an ex-student, Graeme Marston and they had three children. When Pam got back into sport she became a good badminton player, playing C Grade interclub for many years and tennis interclub. In fact Pam still plays social badminton and tennis. She had dabbled in golf and also been part of a walking group. Obviously one very fit lady?!
In 1984 she remarried. Pam now has six grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
Pam has had a very busy and varied work history. From 1973-1979 she managed a motel. From there Pam worked at Dalgety Crown Ltd as Assistant Trading Accountant and District Trading Accountant for seven years. When Dalgety’s merged with Wrightson, Pam was Senior Trading Clerk inputting data in the new computer system. She then took up a position with Medic Aid Health Insurance for two years as a Senior Clerk.
After all this indoor work they moved to Cambridge and bought and developed a 10 acre block as well as filling the position of Sole Office Manager with Waikato Building Supplies. Finally she and Patrick moved back to Hamilton and continued their business interests working from home.
Pam has done voluntary work for Cancer Society, CAB, Assistant Chaplaincy Waikato Hospital and Church visiting.
Now in her retirement she is very busy with her sports as well as supporting all the grandchildren with their interests and activities. She loves her garden, is involved with art and is often out and about in their Motor Home.
