Greg Hickson
Since leaving school Greg has had a reasonably varied existence. Post school Greg enrolled at the University of Waikato fully intending to complete a BSc but soon found that it was not to his liking. After two pretty ordinary years of University he left and decided to follow his passion which was cooking and all things culinary.
Greg worked as a chef in Hamilton, London and Greece for four years until he decided that if he wanted to retain his passion for food and his sanity, he would try something different.
For a complete change Greg took a job as a motorcycle courier in London working for a company that specialised in medical deliveries. He was then a courier in varied forms in London, Auckland, Dublin and London again for the next five years.
Once again Greg had the urge for change. He started an adult apprenticeship as an electrician. He soon moved his apprenticeship to Honeywell and began learning the ropes as an automation engineer. During his stint at Honeywell he met his wife to be and mother of their first born.
Greg now works for Milfos International in Hamilton, which is a milking machine manufacturer, as the cooling division product manager.
By now (or very soon) he will be the father of their number one child Lydia.
