GINNI POST (Ryan)
Ginni was destined for success! She gained all her school qualifications (first year of NCEA) and went on to Waikato University and completed a Bachelor of Communications Studies, majoring in Marketing and Public Relations.
She was also very active and took part in different sports. Ginni played netball, was part of a successful aerobics group who were competitive and was a strong athlete.
Ginni started her communications career in 2006 at a small PR consultancy in London and then moved to a bigger agency where she worked with major brands including Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Greene King Brewing Company. In 2009 she moved to Sydney with Professional Public Relations and worked with clients including McDonalds and Bunnings. Since 2011 she has worked in the corporate office of AccorHotels – Australia and New Zealand’s largest operator of hotels with brands including Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis.
Ginni has lived in Canada, London and Sydney and done extensive travel throughout Canada, USA, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
The following list of achievements are testament to Ginni’s dedication to her career.
2006 – Winner of the Ted Zorn Communication Award from the University of Waikato in recognition of her communications work with the Extreme Everest Medical Research Expedition (one of her London clients).
2016 – Winner Best In-House PR team at the Mumbrella CommsCon Awards (a national communications industry award in Australia.
2017 – Winner Communications Associate (team) at HM Awards (Hotel Industry)
2017 – Co-produced AccorHotels Austrlia’s first corporate responsibility report which was then used as the basis for a major sustainability award in Australia. AccorHotels won the Banksia Foundation’s large business leadership award for sustainability.
Currently Ginni is based in Sydney and is the Director of Communications with AccorHotels, responsible for setting up and executing the communications strategy and protecting the reputation for over 12 brands and 250 hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and South Pacific.
As well as this tremendously exciting and successful career, Ginni is the mother of a daughter (born July 2017) and is happily married.
