Colin Riseborough
Colin completed his final two year’s schooling at Matamata College. As his Dad was the postmaster, they moved around every few years. Colin made an instant impression at Matamata College. Colin gained an A Bursary. On leaving he attended Auckland University where he graduated with a BSc in Applied Mathematics. In 1972 he attended Epsom Teachers College to gain his Dip Tchg and began teaching in 1973.
His first position was at Birkdale College teaching Maths and Science. That followed with two years at Henderson High, four years as HOD Maths at Queen Charlotte College, Picton and 12 more at Napier Boys High School.
He then had a break of nine years out of teaching doing a variety of youth and church work. Colin went back into teaching as Curriculum Manager and then Deputy Principal at Massey High School for 12+ years.
Over the past ten years Colin has had great experiences taking sports teams to various parts of the world.
