Ann Townsend (King)
1970's to
Ann gained School Certificate and University Entrance and in her final year at school she became an American Field Scholar and spent the year in the United States.
While at College Ann played netball for College A and was also prominent at the Athletic Sports .
After her exchange year Ann attended Waikato University and graduated with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) and a Tessol qualification (In-depth expertise for teaching overseas).
Ann married a farmer and they farmed dairy in Matamata for 10 years before moving to Morrinsville. There, Ann taught at Morrinsville Intermediate for a time before moving to Katikati where they now own a lifestyle block with a kiwifruit orchard.
Ann has two married daughters and two granddaughters.
