Health and Physical Education
The focus of Health and Physical Education is on the well-being of students, of other people and of society through learning in health related and movement contexts.
Through learning and by accepting challenges, students reflect on hauora (well-being) and how to promote it. We hope that they will develop resilience and a sense of personal and social responsibility which we will contribute to the well-being of themselves, those around them, their environment and of wider society.
Our programs run throughout the school years. We teach compulsory Health and Physical Education in Year 9,10 and 11. We offer Physical Education option courses in the senior school (Year 11,12 and 13) where students study both Biophysical and Sociocultural ideas.
